This Committee should consist of individuals who are knowledgeable of or interested in vehicular public safety issues. The Committee is charged with reviewing all requests for traffic control signs, including parking and no parking requests, in order to make recommendations to the Board of Selectmen. In addition, the Committee is charged with review of intersection designs for public safety in order to make recommendations to either the Board of Selectmen or appropriate staff members. This Committee will consist entirely of volunteers, but will be staffed by liaisons from both the Police Department and the Highway Department as the need arises.

Correspondence containing requests for public records will be responded to by the Staff Liaison in compliance with Massachusetts General Laws (MGL) Chapter 66, Section 10 within 10 days of receipt. All other correspondence and materials submitted will be forwarded by the Staff Liaison to the Board/Committee Chair, with a copy to Members/Commissioners and person sending request/comment, for potential scheduling of discussion on an upcoming public meeting agenda.
